Document Control

I have tried personally Microsoft ‘office’ is its many forms for several years and also have found it very helpful for documents, spreadsheets, presentations etc, and that i have lately upgraded towards the new edition (2010).

I was expecting it to complete everything the older versions did and it was amazed to determine the Digital Legal rights Management facility, although within the 2007 version, has become completely functional.

Allow me to explain what DRM (Digital Legal rights Management) does for me personally:

It enables me to manage who are able to read, write and alter any documents I’ve created

It enables me to prevent my document being printed by another person

It enables me to prevent my documents being copied or ‘cut and pasted’

It enables me to secure a document in order to need a password to spread out the piece.

These is an extremely helpful function in ISO9001 (Quality Management Systems) for document control and in ISO27001 (Information Security Management) to make sure restricted circulation documents do remain restricted.

I particularly such as the one page summary of qualities which shows the facts from the author, the date produced, any changes and past last modified dates. All of these are needs permanently document control or document configuration management systems utilized in most of the Management Standards, such as the Aerospace (AS9100) and Automotive (ISO/TS16949) standards.

Another elements range from the revised Office PowerPoint, Writer, One Note, Infopath, Visio, Project and much more.

In a nutshell, I love the most recent from the Microsoft ‘office’ packages.
